Integer sizes in libf2c

Sorry that i have to disappoint you:
It seems to be wrong again.
      write(*,*) 'HELLO'
      end
gives a lot of garbage and segfaults.
And: g77_cv_sys_f2cinteger='long int' in libf2c/config.cache.

I append my config.cache and config.log from libf2c to this mail.
They were generated on alphaev56-unknown-linux-gnu (kernel 2.0.36)
Bootstrapped with egcs-1.1.2 (if that matters somehow).

Is it correct, that nowhere in config.log a -I/egcs-dir/include can be
found?
