Hi,
yesterday i found the time to test egcs-19990321
on my alphaev56-unknown-linux-gnu system with
the appended patch, which i found on egcs-bugs.
I hoped to remove my old problem with the SegFault of
WRITE(*,*) 'HELLO FORTRAN'
END
But: SegFault again.
Bootstrap Compiler was egcs-1.1.1 (release)
The config.log of libf2c continues to have a lot of lines like these:

from configure:1000:
../../../egcs-19990321/libf2c/../gcc/real.h:382: \
macro `PROTO' used with just one arg
and so on (config.log has 1165 lines).
Please tell me, which usefull further information i could provide.
Thanks,
Martin.

This is what I have for libf2c/configure.in. (I'm not sure all the
include directories are actually now necessary.)
1999-01-18 Rainer Orth <ro@TechFak.Uni-Bielefeld.DE>
* configure.in: Need to search toplevel include dir for ansidecl.h
and libiberty.h needed by config.h and system.h, respectively.
1998-11-30 Dave Love <d.love@dl.ac.uk>
* configure.in: Use `g77_cv_...', not `f77_cv_...'.
