EGCS 1.1.2 bug

Hello developers,

I'm somehow puzzled. It all started when I tried to build aspell-.27.2 and it
failed somewhere at the and after building the library and the executable.

I found that a basic program like:

#include <iostream>

int main(void) {
  cout<<"bla";
  exit(0);
}

if compiled with:
g++ -o a a.cc

fails with SEGFAULT.

It works just fine if I try to build it with egcs-1.1.2-pre1.

My machine:
Intel P200
Linux 2.2.3-ac1
glibc-2.1.1pre1(I checked the executable on a glibc-2.1 and on a glibc-2.0.7
and it failes there too. I tried also to build the file with egcs-1.1.2-pre1
on a glibc-2.1 machine and it worked ok on my machine. Note: all are x86 archs)
binutils-2.9.1.0.22

I attached other(maybe useful) info.
