glibc can't build on linuxppc with egcs 1.1b

   Both glibc 1.99 and 2.0.95 are failing to build under egcs 1.1b
under linuxppc. In both cases the problem occurs in the sunrpc 
directory of glibc when the newly built rpcgen is run against the
egcs 1.1b built glibc libs. In the glibc 1.99 case at least I believe
bad code is generated for ld.so.1 because if I allow rpcgen to run
against the ld.so.1 that egcs 1.0.2 creates, the egcs 1.1 built
rpcgen runs fine. This bug seems like a real show stopper.
