GNU make required (was: Final end of the `never ending story'?)

Unfortunately, being on a Sun with Sun's make, I can _guarantee_ that
egcs does not build without GNU make any longer.

I'm quite sure that this is due to the Fortran stuff and that it broke
only a couple of days resp. few weeks ago.

PS: I submitted a bug report "`make install` failed with..." two days 
    ago with some further information...
