Another bootstrap failure...

Done, unfortunately the problem is still reproducible.

The log will follow by separate mail (If anyone wants to have a
look, just let me know!) 


Ooops, I found the reason: gmake wasn't actually gmake but a sh script
invoking gmake as `exec /some/path/gmake $*` for local reasons.

This had worked for a couple of months but somehow broke in March, that's
why I suspected an egcs problem. Probably, however, this happended due to
a quoting problem with command-line arguments.


Nothing to worry about, but in case someone else ever experiences strange
failures such as mine, this information might prove useful...
