On
Reading specs from
/home/dg/egcs/lib/gcc-lib/alphaev56-unknown-linux-gnu/egcs-2.92.33/specs
gcc version egcs-2.92.33 19981226 (gcc2 ss-980609 experimental)

built with itself, running
gcjh --help
or
jcf-dump --help

causes a seg fault.

A gdb of gcjh --help gives:

(gdb) where
#0  0x120006cb8 in append_entry (entp=0x11ffff998, ent=0x1201091b0)
    at ./jcf-path.c:121
#1  0x120006ecc in add_entry (entp=0x11ffff998,
    filename=0x11ffff9b0 "\xFB\xFF\037\001", is_system=5) at
./jcf-path.c:174
#2  0x120007008 in add_path (entp=0x11ffff998, cp=0x11ffff9b4 "",
is_system=1)
    at ./jcf-path.c:204
