Well, it might take some time.

1999 was the year Andy Vaught sent me his first iterations of the g95 
parser. He wrote to me on the 4th of November 1999:

" I've started work on what I hope
someday will be g95.  It doesn't use any of Craig's g77 code mainly
because I don't understand most of it and I think that it will be easier
to avoid the strict lexer/parser model that is pretty alien to fortran."

Quite a bit of what was written during the early years wasn't under cvs.
