Yep, I do too.

However, I am a physicist.  How much I loath ideologically induced 
claims from my opponents, I wouldn't settle for less than measurements 
to make my case.

Having the same language capabilities as C++ and being able to compare 
the "abstraction penalty" of both implementations would be far more 
preferable than to engage in a useless "It does", "No, it doesn't" kind 
of exchange I envision with those who make policy at my Institute.
