Guilty.

Jerry and I discussed it on IRC. We agreed that the likelyhood of failures 
should be neglible as the new code is generated only. The kind of language 
options in quesion are heavily used throughout gcc. It is unlikely anything 
bad will come from it. I committed the changes approx. 30 seconds before your 
mail to the list was delivered. 

Nonetheless, you're right, of course. Won't happen again.
