The only patch that I will apply to this binary is the array valued 
TRANSFER intrinsic.  Since this has been OK to be committed to 
trunk(tomorrow or Thursday!), I feel that this is OK.

I have no idea at all what the error is all about.  I do nothing special 
for the configure at all; --enable-languages=c, fortran 
--with-gmp=$GMP_PATH --with-mpfr=/$GMP_PATH --prefix=/irun.   I then 
bootstrap with make and install with make install.
I have been using a pre-existing gcc-4.2 to start the bootstrap; ie. 
before the configure > export CC=/irun/bin/gcc.

I am sorry that I cannot be more helpful but I cannot reproduce the problem.
