I don't understand your question.  The patches should have a
ChangeLog entry in the branch.  When the branch is merged into
trunk, then an apropriate ChangeLog will be committed.

Well, the ISO_C_BINDING patch is on the order of 11K lines.
You're more than welcomed to review it and send emails to
Christopher to fix any problems.  I personally think in
this instances that a branch will make reviewing easier
because it removes the burden from Christopher of fixing 
every little nit.
