As I explained <http://gcc.gnu.org/ml/gcc/2006-11/msg00541.html>, using 
2.60 will require a managed transition in coordination with the projects 
in src.  (As 2.61 is now out, such a transition will no doubt skip 2.60 
and go straight to 2.61 or later.)
