A while back, whilst struggling with a broken version of DejaGnu on 
Cygwin, I wrote a bash script to run the testsuite.  It correctly picks 
up quite a lot of the testsuite directives.  I posted it on the list.  I 
did develop it some more and should finish the job.  Give me 24 hours to 
dig it out, dust it down and see what else could be usefully done to it.
