Hi Ben,
This test has been xfailed for all Linux systems, but I can't see how
the test is
failing these days.
Did you get my reply, some time ago? There is no mystery here: simply, the
test fails randomly on multi-processor machines equipped with glibcs older
than august 2004.
That said, I agree that, for mainline only, probably it's time to remove the
xfail.
