While I think it's now far too late, I would personally really like the iter_swap specialisation to make it into 4.0 if at all possible.

Ok, I have it in my tree, already fixed a couple of minor stylistics issues. Could you please prepare a ChangeLog entry? Then, I will regtest it again, post the final version and, if nobody objects (indeed, nobody objected to it, to date), we can apply it very soon.
