Clean build has good make check results (x86 Debian GNU/Linux branch and
mainline). kawa make and testsuite make check (pre-compiled) work out of
the box. Eclipse (interpreted and bc-compiled) works fine.

OK for mainline and 4.0 branch?

OK for 4.0 if approved for mainline.
