Zack - using your latest genconditions.c patch plus this one:
http://gcc.gnu.org/ml/gcc/2006-01/msg00951.html
was sufficient to get a C-only bootstrap working on solaris2.10 using
cc for stage1.

I'm going to run a full test, but that'll take many many hours
longer.
