ia-64 doesn't bootstrap without --enable-shared?!?

Hi,

just found out myself (I cannot find it mentioned anywhere) that current
mainline doesn't bootstrap on ia64-linux without --enable-shared: I don't
think it's wanted, f.i., I never pass it explicitly on i686 and x86_64, ...
