Granted. The discussion has wandered far fom my original intent, which
was merely to find out if tree-ssa was going to become mainline. I did
not raise the issues of funding or contracts.
But you can't reasonably ask that quesion without issues of funding or
contracts! Otherwise, all that people can tell you is what they *intend*
to do. Whether or not that actually gets done depends both on the
technical issues involved and on the priorities (which means funding).
There are *lots* of developments for GCC and their front ends that are
desirable and will eventually get done some day, but if you care that
they *are* going to be done and when, you need to put money on the table.
