This is supposed to work, but is probably rarely tested. The gcc driver calls make_relative_prefix to compute a relative path between the two, and then you get the same effect as if you had set GCC_EXEC_PREFIX to point at the new location.


This only works if there is at least one common directory between the two different full pathnames.
