Hello,
in bug 12098 we have the oft reported problem that
ia64-hpux bootstraps currently require GNU as, and
file otherwise. Although we document this fact, I
wonder if it is at all possible to do some sort of
configure check in this case to ensure a valid
assembler exists? Alternatively, I can close the bug
as a documented build issue... Thanks,
