OK, at the risk of making a fool of myself again, now that the
problem of a too small stack is out of the way, building gcc still
fails at a later point:
stage1/xgcc -Bstage1/
-B/Users/xmath/gcc/install/powerpc-apple-darwin5.4/bin/ -c -DIN_GCC
-g -O2 -W -Wall -Wwrite-strings -Wstrict-prototypes
-Wmissing-prototypes -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -Icp -I../../gcc/gcc
-I../../gcc/gcc/cp -I../../gcc/gcc/config -I../../gcc/gcc/../include
../../gcc/gcc/cp/expr.c -o cp/expr.o
make: don't know how to make cp/parse.h. Stop
*** Error code 2
Based on the contents of the Makefile, it would seem to me it's
supposed to build it from cp/parse.y, but for some reason it doesn't..
any ideas?
