Yes, sure, but that's the other conversation. What I was commenting on
was SPARC vs Redhat Linux, which is a different issue entirely from
2.95 vs 3.1. We know that the bootstrap of 3.1 will take longer and
this has been discussed at length elsewhere, so let's not confuse
concerns here.

The bottom line here seems to be that Java and make check are the real
issues.
