Compiler option?

Subject: Compiler option?

Hi all,
   Is there any command line option in gcc that prevent gcc from printing
the file to be compiled and the compiler option to be used while compiling?
It is hard to pick up the warning message that gcc emits from so many
output.
   The version of gcc is 2.7.2.
