This isn't what I see, I see 'Port: 0'. (Using the echo port).
You're using 5.0.5? Very strange. I didn't apply the TLS-597 patch, which
is correct I hope.

Yes, correct.. Tried that, no difference. I'm clueless about what the
problem is here. Since the only thing affected seems to be 'getservbyname',
maybe I should just write my own version of it :(
Maybe comp.unix.sco.programmer is a more suitable place for this problem, I doubt if gcc is at fault.
