Time and need.

ie, what point is there in taking the time to move that stuff over?
Does it fix a bug? If not, then please do not copy the stuff over.

Even though you're thinking about just doc fixes, we really need to
say enough is enough and that only bugfixes for serious problems will
go onto the branch.

It's just part of how one goes about getting a release out the door.
We could spend 6 months just going this kind of doc cleanup alone.
