Could you post this patch to gcc-patches@, I might approve it to the mainline if you give a good argument for it. So you don't have to carry along this local patch.

Ok, what do people think about adding maintainer mode support to libobjc, as is done for all other parts of the compiler?


Do we want to do it this way (ick), or switch to using automake for libobjc? I think prefer the later, but don't want to do that work.

The other possibility is to comment out the dependency line unconditionally, that avoids needing changes to aclocal or requiring migration to automake.

This problem has to be fixed before the release of 4.0.0.

Thoughts?
