Summary: Infinite loop at static objects initialisation.
Product: gcc
Version: 2.96 (redhat)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: minor
Priority: P2
Component: c++
AssignedTo: unassigned at gcc dot gnu dot org
ReportedBy: benoit dot barbeau at silvaco dot com
CC: gcc-bugs at gcc dot gnu dot org
Plateform : Red Hat Linux 7.1.
Depending on the order the .o files are linked this exemple leads to an infinite
loop before main begins, or it works fine.
On other plateforms it does not works the same :
Solaris(SC6) or HP-UX(aCC) : the order which doesn't work on Linux (gcc) works
fine, the other one leads to a core dump. This is easier to debug than an
infinite Loop.
Windows(NT with VisualC++6.0 and some "Service Packs") : both orders works fine.
