The web form uses the snapshot built the night before. So it's pretty
up-to-date. (Of course, there might be bugs in the scripts that
manage this, but we don't know of any.)
You can also put `-v' in the extra options field, and view compiler
messages, to see what version is being used. If you like that
version, you can download the corresponding RPMs and have the exact
sam setup.

It does. You can (sort-of) see this by looking at the assembly output
for simple programs using different options -- you can certainly see
that different output is generated.
