On a Pentium 233MHz box running RedHat-5.1
(using bash and CC=egcs and CXX=egcs) I get
the ff while trying to configure for an
egcs-19980715 build:
./configure --prefix=$PREFIX --exec-prefix=$PREFIX/Linux2
Configuring for a i586-pc-linux-gnu host.
Created "Makefile" in /local/swl/tmp/egcs-19980715 using "mt-frag"
./configure: [: integer expression expected before -eq
./configure: [: integer expression expected before -eq
Links are now set up to build a native compiler for i586-pc-linux-gnu
