This is a bug that has been fixed in the development tree (at
least since 11 June, when I posted a ptach for egcs-1.0.3a). You have
two alternatives: either rename the malloc()/realloc() method to
something else, or apply the patch at
http://www.cygnus.com/ml/egcs-bugs/1998-Jun/0272.html
to the egcs source and compile.
