Hello Eggs,

gcc version egcs-2.91.50 19980714 (gcc2 ss-980609 experimental)
reports the version as ""

$ g++ --version
<blank line>

FYI: We're using egcs on a Digital Unix 4.0d and MLS+ 4.0a (Secure  Digital Unix)
          with omniORB and MICO ORBs because we needed the thread-safe
          exception handling.  We're also using it on HPUX-10.10.

Would you happen to know where I can acquire binutils with gas/ld
for the Alpha chip on a DEC 3000-500/OSF1 4.0d?
I tried binutils-2.9 but won't configure for the directories gas or ld.
