Er, no.

"This is *not* the generic libstdc++ mailing list,
this is for *development* activities involving libstdc++."

"generic" was referring to the mailing list, but in the context of
saying this is NOT the generic help list for user questions.

When you find yourself being told the same thing by several people who
work on the project full or part time, maybe you should consider if
you're the one who is mistaken. Just a thought.
