This announcement is a bit bittersweet for me because
4.1 is the first release since 3.3 where java doesn't work
on Win32. I wish I had more time to work on this.
What are the options for fixing this, if I or someone else
ever manages to pinpoint everything that's wrong?
(There seem to be threading, networking and SEH-related
problems once you work past bootloader issues but I
haven't been able to investigate fully.) Make changes to
4.2? Wait for a 4.1.x release?
These issues notwithstanding, congratulations on the
4.1 release. I enjoy reading the list and seeing the
progress made, and it was a real treat when I built
gcc 4.02 and the final link didn't take a million years
because intermediate object files were created for
each package.
