I think someone mentioned that they got gcj to compile
Jacl via .class -> .o instead of .java -> .o. Last
time I tried, it did not compile from source. That
was some time ago so it might work now. Keep in mind
that I am just talking about compiling here. Getting
the Jacl test cases working will require some work
on the gcj runtime. Tcl Blend 1.3 (in the CVS) should
work since JNI is now supported. Of course, I have
not tested that yet. You are welcome to do some hacking
on it yourself. Just join the tcljava-dev mailing list
over at sourceforge and have at it.
