The GCC Wiki does not have the text colorizing macro installed (or else it doesn't seem to work as it's supposed to). See <http://moinmo.in/MacroMarket/Color2> for more details on it.

I tested with the following:

<<Color2(red courier on blue,col=red,bcol=blue,font=courier)>>

<<Color2(Green Font on Yellow Background,green,yellow)>>

<<Color2(Orange Text,orange)>>

<<Color2("Text with commas:one,two,three",red)>>

<<Color2("Optional parameters",bcol=yellow)>>

at:

  http://gcc.gnu.org/wiki/WikiSandBox

and can confirm that text colorizing macro isn't working on the GCC Wiki.

There is no one maintaining the GCC Wiki or with root access. As far as I know, I am the only active person to have administrative powers (which means not much, I can mark some stuff as spam and disable accounts), but there is no active person with root access. I cannot not even give administrative powers to other people.

The current installation is outdated and probably has security issues. If you volunteer to maintain the wiki (basically, updating the software perhaps once every two or three years and granting/removing administration powers to some users in very rare occasions), I think by sending an email to overseers(at)gcc.gnu.org), you will probably get root access since you are a Red Hat employee. Then you can install/uninstall whatever plugins you fancy.

I shall write to overseers(at)gcc.gnu.org.

Thanks for your prompt response. Appreciate it!

The Color2 1.9.3-1 macro package has been installed for gcc moinmoin.
Comment 5 Manuel López-Ibáñez 2013-04-18 17:12:01 UTC
So someone has root access after DBerlin left?

Are we using the latest version of moinmoin?

Could you give DeSpam powers to people that usually remove spam like Ian Lance Taylor, Thomas Schwinge StevenBosscher and perhaps others? They do it by hand and I know how much easier is to use Despam action.

Also, is there a plugin/power to block users without having to login as them and disable their accounts?
Comment 6 Manuel López-Ibáñez 2013-04-18 17:12:41 UTC
Also Tobias Burnus should have Despam powers.
Comment 7 Frank Ch. Eigler 2013-04-18 18:44:30 UTC
Added ThomasSchwinge, StevenBosscher, TobiasBurnus to the gcc wiki admins.
