I am bit concerned with additional code size with ths tables, so would work

on removing their dependency on index_type, by passing auto& with extents
arrray
instead of Extents type.

We do not really depend on the index parameter here, so again to reduce the
number of instantiations (and the code bloat), I would use the
auto& parameter,
and change _Extents:_S_static_extents to return a reference to it.
Then have two __mdspan::__static_extents overloads:
