Hi Jonathan and Thomas,

I'm glad to hear that the effort has started on your side. 

At Intel, we keep adding proper support for parallel & SIMD execution into more STL algorithms, and will update the code at GitHub soon. We also started to experiment with integrating into libstdc++ (as well as libc++), collect technical questions to be resolved along the way.

Looking forward to collaborate with you more closely.

Hi Alexey,

As you've probably guessed, we aren't going to include the Parallel STL in GCC 8 now :-)

But we haven't forgotten about it, and I've CC'd Thomas Rodgers, who is going to be doing most of the work to integrate it with Libstdc++.
He's already been experimenting with the code, and we've started the necessary conversations to get approval for accepting the code into GCC with its current licence.

I imagine you'll be hearing more from Thomas in the near future, as he figures out what needs to be done to get the two code bases working together.
