python pretty print gdb script error on map

I think this is due to something in gcc, not libstdc++ or the script, maybe a change in debug info.
I've CC'd some gdb devs, to find out what causes the error:

RuntimeError: Attempt to dereference a generic pointer.

Tom, Phil, the code at causes an error
in the libstdcxx/v6/ script when compiled with gcc 4.5, but
not other versions.  Any ideas?
