Ok, now I found it, DR 165. In any case, I'm under the impression that
the general issue should be discussed in a tad more detail, xsgetn
included. I'm nervous about calling non-public members of the streambuf
in general, with no wording in the streambuf itself about friendship,
and we can break a lot of user code.
