This is incredibly funny! 

Of course, I have to add that I have access to a powerpc machine that
doesn't suck (hello 2G dual G5 niceness! Best mac hardware in 5 years
easy) but it's not running linux... sooo...

Anyway. I'm having real problems getting usable toolchains on ia64 and
alpha at the moment, but hope it gets better soon. I'm waiting for ia64
testresults that appear normal.

I'm having problems running the performance testsuite on darwin.
Threads, clocks. I haven't sorted it out yet.

So.... I'm working on the producer consumer test right now, following the
suggestions from Felix. I'd like to integrate the map bits into the mix,
all one file. I'll post this in a bit or an RFC.

At this point, the performance testsuite should probably become organized.
