Error Message

Hi

I just bought the book C++ for Dummies.  I am trying to run the program
Dev-CPP which was provided by CD-ROM with the above mentioned book.  It will
not run the main.cpp program, and therefore I cannot perform anything.  I
did find this message when I tried to compile main.cpp:

Message
#error__GTHREAD_MUTEX_INIT or __GTHREAD_MUTEL_INIT_FUNCTION should be
defined by gthr.h abstraction layer, report problem to libstdc++@gcc.gnu.org
