Multiprocessor Issue

Hi,

OPERATING SYSTEM : SunOS ultra2-solaris 5.8 Generic sun4u sparc
SUNW,Ultra-2
C++ COMPILER     : gcc version 3.0.3[precomiled binary from
sunfreeware].
HARDWARE         : Multiprocessor [2cpus]
THREADING        : PTHREADS

problem: 
We have built an appilcation which run very smoothly on sun solaris
with a single cpu. when we run it on a multiprocessor machine it core
dumps.

On a multiprocessor machine it core dumps regularly in libstdc++
allocator.....

It works on a multiprocessor when we use the pbind utility to bind it
to a cpu.


Has anyone faced this issue.
