so... do the testsuite memory limits work?

Zack, last night I activated testsuite memory limits, which you've been 
most interested in establishing. Have you had a chance to work with these
patched library testsuite sources? Is this satisfactory? It seems to make 
'make check' much more transparent.

It seems to work nicely on linux, at least. I'd be interested in hearing 
how this has changed/improved other platforms.
