std::basic_stringbuf problems

Hmm. You're the second person to note this: by any chance are you using 
the codesourcery RPM's? I've failed to reproduce this with mainline CVS, 
soooo unless you can come up with some kind of test program that shows 
what is going on, I'm at a loss.

It would be great if you could try CVS gcc (gcc-3.1) in addition to the 
branch.
