libstdc++ related bootstrap failure on Solaris

Okay, I found it. It *is* a libstdc++-v3 bug.

Try using a builddir whose name contains a colon as in my original bug
report and you'll experience exactly what I have been seeing.

Before libstdc++-v3 went active the gcc tree has been building fine in
such directories for years.
