comments on streambuf.tcc patch?

Hi,
  I'm wondering if any guru on the list has seen the streambuf.tcc
fix that I _think_ I found... I'd like to know if the fix is correct,
or if I need to dig a bit deeper to solve it -- so I can go on with
my regularly scheduled program knowing that future versions of 
libstdc++-v3 will have a working streambuf (which I'll be (ab)using
quite a bit).
