Hey nathan. This stuff is in. Mostly in, at least:

the gcc/config.in patch I didn't apply. Since this is a gcc patch, you
should post it to gcc-patches@gcc.gnu.org. 

Note that the alpha version had this in it:

static inline intint

This has been fixed.

Anyway, I think this probably takes care of string, with the exception
of the allocator biz that came up recently. Have you had a chance to
see what's up with that?
