Undefined symbol in dynamic library libstdc++.so.3.0.0

I guess it's official: we should not freeze till some of this stuff is 
fixed. Announcement of a freeze is a bit premature, in light of what 
has come out today.

Let's move back the freeze date 24hrs, and try to fix some of this stuff.
